Anthony Stewart – on location &#8211; filled in for Jay Rosehill on the Wednesday edition. We kicked off the show by submitting an all-encompassing scene setter. First and foremost, it’s hot, very hot. And I’m not talking about the Mitch Marner trade rumours either. It’s final centralized draft, and on top of that, it’s being held at the world-renowned Sphere. You know something wild’s going to go down! From a Toronto perspective, there’s no telling where things will go leading up to free agency on Monday. There are so many moving parts, so naturally, we talked about the various scenarios. Most importantly, there seems to be a lot of movement around the Leafs in the Atlantic Division. At some point, they’ll need to react accordingly. Simply put, Brad Treliving has his work cut out for himself this week as we all wait for the first domino to drop.

That was the big question in the hockey world after Detroit freed up even more cap space when they inexplicably packaged blueliner Jake Walman with a second-round pick to San Jose in exchange for future considerations.
