GO FOR GOLD LIKE OUR CANADIAN HEROES

Can it really be 4 years since the Olympics in Vancouver already? Simple math would suggest that is the case but we have a sneaking suspicion we may have fallen through some sort of worm hole or rip in the space time continuum. It seriously can’t be 4 years can it? Hmm.
Assuming no interdimensional travel, and that the Mayan Calendar flipping over DIDN’T end the world and that we really are witnessing the year 2014, this can all mean only one thing: Olympic Fantasy Hockey!
We let the kids over at the newest sibling in the Nation Network family – DailyFaceOff.com – have first kick at signing up. It’s kind of like letting your cousin who absolutely LOVES Tom Cruise pick the channel when War of the Worlds is playing on the tee vee. Let him have his day in the sun. Let the fantasy hockey kids have their fantasy hockey first.
And boy did they ever have their day in the sun – almost 2,000 people have already signed up for the Go For The Gold Draft (cleverest title ever*) which is completely free. But just cause it’s free doesn’t mean there aren’t some dope prizes – first place is an autographed Corey Perry Ducks jersey and $200 bucks.
IS IT A BOX POOL?

Wow, listen to you Johnny Fantasy Hockey. Yes, yes it’s a box pool. That means there are 16 boxes with four players in each box. Each box has players of equal (or close to equal) skill level. You must pick one player from each box to create a team of 16 players.
And some of the boxes contain some shady selection options for players who may or may not exist from countries that may or may not have collapsed by puck drop.** What great fun!
So go sign up here. Entries will close off at 10 AM MST tomorrow when the puck drops. Gotta be quick if you want to win the Gold!
*You know it
** Like poor Norway
