Golden Goal Scorer Kasperi Kapanen Is Now On A Finnish Stamp

Jan 15, 2016, 10:23 ESTUpdated:
The young man and Maple Leafs prospect who scored the game-winning goal in the gold-medal game of the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships will be appearing on a new Finnish postage stamp.
Posti announced their new stamp earlier today, which features Kasperi Kapanen along with teammates Miro Keskitalo and Villi Saarijarvi immediately following Kapanen’s wrap-around goal. Posti Group is Finland’s main postal service, much like Canada Post in Canada or USPS in the States. The stamps are now available in Posti’s webstore and cost 11 Euros for a 10-stamp sheet.
Kapanen made the jump from the Liiga this year to join the AHL Toronto Marlies as a 19-year old. In 18 games so far this season, he’s scored five goals and 10 points.
