Look, it’s been a long time since the 1960s and to be fair, not even my parents were born when the Toronto Maple Leafs won back-to-back-to-back cup wins.
But with Punch Imlach behind the bench, Toronto had a beautiful little run between 1962 and 1964 winning three Stanley Cup championships.
And now, you can go back and see how some of it happened.
The NHL has released a bunch of archival footage, including two 23 minute videos on the 1963 and 1964 cup wins. I haven’t had a chance to go check them out, but I’m really excited to do so.
We all know what hockey looks like today, but to go back and see what it was like in the ’60s is going to be really, really cool.
