Alas, Souperman (Ilya Mikheyev) has left the Maple Leafs organization once and for all.
Mikheyev’s agent, Dan Milstein, confirmed the news saying the 27-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks with an AAV of $4.75 million.
It was an interesting final year in Toronto for Mikheyev, who asked for a trade and didn’t get it. Last season, he finished with a career-high 21 goals in 53 games.
Milstein also tweeted out a statement from the 27-year-old thanking the City of Toronto and the Maple Leafs organization.
