Jeremy Bracco has been recalled from the Marlies

Welcome to the Jeremy Bracco era. Maybe?
According to the Maple Leafs’ official PR account, Bracco has been recalled from the Marlies as Trevor Moore remains injured. Moore, who has played in just one game since being activated from the Injured Reserve, was scratched from today’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes. It isn’t known yet if he’ll be back in action right away or if he’ll need another stint on the IR.
So, could we see Bracco in the lineup sometime soon? It’s hard to say. The Leafs have today’s game against Carolina and then they’ll be off for the NHL’s Christmas break until Dec. 27. Maybe Moore is good to go by that time. Maybe he isn’t. We saw the team make a bunch of paper transactions due to minor injuries recently, as both Timothy Liljegren and Adam Brooks were recalled, but neither made it into the lineup. It could be the same deal for Bracco.
Regardless, it seems as though Bracco’s shot will come sooner rather than later. The former 2015 second-round pick has posted 22 points in 28 games for the Marlies this season, which is good, despite the fact it’s a decline from his stellar 79-point rookie season in the AHL last year.
