And the yo-yoing continues!
After appearing in a little over a combined 20 minutes of ice time over the Leafs’ past two games, Kasperi Kapanen was returned to the AHL today.
The Marlies hit the ice tonight in Syracuse.
While a sensible reason for the move might have been to put him in the AHL All-Star game that’s happening Monday Night in Utica, NY, Kapanen’s spot was actually already replaced by teammate Andreas Johnsson.
There is a possibility he returns immediately after the AHL All-Star break, with the Leafs back in action Wednesday night against the New York Islanders.
For now, your guess is as good as ours as to when Kapanen will be back with the big boys.
