Toronto Maple Leafs forward @Kirill Semyonov will make his National Hockey League debut on Wednesday evening when his team takes on the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Semyonov, 27, joined the Leafs on a one-year deal this off-season after spending parts of eight seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League.
A left-handed forward capable of playing centre, Semyonov will line up at left wing on the Leafs’ fourth line in Wednesday’s game.
The Leafs recalled Semyonov from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League on Nov. 7. He has a team-leading nine points (one goal, eight assists) in nine AHL games with the Marlies this season.
Semyonov’s one-year, two-way deal with the Leafs carries an NHL cap hit of $825,000. He’ll make his Leafs debut wearing No. 94.
