The Leafs have added more players and staff to the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list, just a day after two members of the Leafs’ support staff were added.
Toronto now has 11 players and six staff members in COVID-19 protocol.
This announcement comes two days after the NHL paused all Leafs activities through until the end of the league’s Holiday break (December 26th). It’s not known yet what will happen after that, and if operations will resume as normal.
There were supposed to be two games on the schedule today before the NHL shuts down operations until after the Holiday break. One of them, though, with the Capitals and Flyers has been postponed because Washington is dealing with COVID issues.
Tonight's Capitals/Flyers game has been postponed. That brings the total to 50 postponed games.
It’ll be interesting to see what the next step is for the NHL and future games after the Holiday break.
