Just days before the 2019 NHL Draft starts, the first notion that the offseason has started was released. I’m sure every single fan is clamouring to find out when the Toronto Maple Leafs will play their preseason games before the 2019-20 season.
Tues, September 17 — 5:30pm ET — vs Ottawa (in St. John’s, NL)
Wed, September 18 — 7:30pm ET — @ Ottawa
Fri, September 20 — 7:00pm ET — vs Buffalo
Sat, September 21 — 7:00pm ET — @ Buffalo
Mon, September 23 – 7:00pm ET — @ Montreal
Wed, September 25 — 7:00pm ET — vs Montreal
Fri, September 27 — 7:30pm ET — @ Detroit
Sat, September 28 — 7:00pm ET — vs Detroit
Through the two(ish) weeks of preseason, the Leafs will hold three of the eight games at home, with one of the designated home games in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
As per usual, the Leafs are going to be playing the same four teams through the preseason as last year.
For previous preseasons, they were held in the Niagara area, but Toronto will be heading east and support the community that is home to the 2019 Kelly Cup Champions, the Newfoundland Growlers.
