If you are like me and were wondering why there was a gap in the preseason between tonight’s game and the Leafs next preseason game on Monday, well, I guess we now know why…

It’s the return of the Blue and White game. A relic of lockdowns returns, but this time with essential workers invited to attend, and once again it will be televised for all to enjoy.

The reports out there are that the rosters will be revealed tomorrow, and given that the Leafs will be icing two full lineups, I’m willing to bet we won’t see much in the way of cuts before this game. I’d also bet that we’ll see all the key players involved in it, with something more closely resembling NHL calibre lines than what we are seeing Wednesday against Ottawa.

Mainly, this will be a fun event, but for a few participants another chance to showcase that they belong in the NHL.

As listed above the game is on both Sportsnet and TSN, and starts a bit earlier than we are used to at 6pm ET.
