Leafs Recall Dermott, Gauthier

As expected, the Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenseman Travis Dermott and forward Frederik Gauthier to the big boys’ club. Dermott and Gauthier had been returned to the Marlies during the Leafs’ NHL-mandated bye week, but they’re back, present at practice, and ready to go.
Dermott’s first call-up was earlier this month, and by and large the reviews have been positive. He hasn’t seemed out of place at all and has registered an assist in two games played.
Gauthier is a familiar sight by now, and as a depth option at center, I’ve got no real complaints. (Except that maybe I’d like to see Aaltonen, but whatever.)
One note — per Kristen Shilton, Dermott is now wearing #23 instead of the #3 he was wearing during his first call-up. Gauthier is still in #33.
This roster move puts the Leafs at the full 23 players, so we’re likely still a bit of time away from the return of Nikita Zaitsev.
