Leafs Training Camp Daily Round-Up: January 6th, 2021

With so much news and information coming out of Leafs training camp every day, we thought it would be helpful to gather as much of that as possible in one place!
Today was a fun day for the boys in blue – let’s start with the scrimmage teams:
They also added a new player, likely because @Alexander Kerfoot is out with a day-to-day injury:
Defenceman Joseph Duszak has been added to the @MapleLeafs training camp roster.

Team Blue came up victorious in today’s scrimmage, with @Jack Campbell blanking Team White
The team also practiced shootout drills, with the players below tapped as the shooters:

@Justin Holl, @Travis Dermott and Jack Campbell were among the players who participated in media availability today:
Justin Holl weighing in on #Leafs top combo after a few days of camp: "[Marner], Auston and Jumbo are going to be a formidable line."
Said he hasn't thought about Seattle expansion possibility.
Jack "Soupy" Campbell tells us he's not jealous that Ilya "Souperman" Mikheyev got thaat soup endorsement and he didn't: "I'm more jealous of the people who get to work with him on the commercials, because he's such a great guy."
Keefe gave some updates as well:
Sheldon Keefe on Alex Kerfoot: "He'll be a day-to-day situation. Looks like he's doing well, he responded well today, but we're not sure how long it's going to be."
Sheldon Keefe says #Leafs will be starting with a traditional 12-6 look, but doesn't rule out rolling with 11-7 at some points, given the depth they've added on defence
Sheldon Keefe on Mitch Marner: "Expectations are quite high with him, but he looked really good today and again that line was very good. It looks like he's got good legs and good energy, confidence and certainly looks ready to play for real."
