The Leafs continue their regular season farewell tour tonight in New Jersey. For the Leafs (48-25-7), a 50-win season is still realistically in sight, and is probably one of the only things worth playing for at this point.

For the Devils, their playoff spot is all but secure, but a win tonight would clinch their first berth of the Taylor Hall era.

Also Cory Schneider is the lone goalie skating, so Keith Kinkaid will start tonight vs. the Leafs. 8th straight start for him, and he’s 6-0-1 in that stretch.

Keith Kinkaid is in goal for the Devils. He’s been hot, which is timely considering Cory Schneider hasn’t won a single game in 2018. That’s not a typo, by the way.

For the Leafs, after back to back starts for Curtis McElhinney, Frederik Andersen gets the nod tonight as he looks to get into playoff form.

Notes

Here’s a fun little tidbit: I’m headed to tonight’s game in New Jersey. The last time I saw the Leafs at the Prudential Center was January 28, 2015. Here was the Leafs’ roster:

Seven of these players remain with the club, and I’m surprised it’s even that many. I… do not miss those days.

Also of note: Lou Lamoriello was actually behind the Devils’ bench as a co-head coach that night, because of course he was.
