Hopefully all the Leafs have their vaccinations up to date because they are getting a visit from the Ducks tonight. And while that may leave us wishing the Leafs wear hazmat suits for tonight’s game, the fact that the Ducks are a pretty good team and should be capable of handing the Leafs a loss is probably a good thing. This winning record thing has been fun for a while, but Toronto is dangerously close to improving in the standings.

THE LEAFS

Oh look, Tyler Bozak is back. That’s exciting…
Okay, it really isn’t but it’s a thing that’s happening and the reason why Freddie Gauthier is back with the Marlies. The rest of the cast is still the same, and William Nylander is still incredibly good.
The Ducks have leveled off recently after their surge from awfulness. They are 5-4-1 over the last 10, so luckily they won’t be above beating the Leafs senseless to maintain home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR…

  • William Nylander. He’s all we’ve got left. Watch him. Love him. Think about how better days are coming.
  • Seriously, that was it, beyond that there are plenty of other great NHL games to check out tonight.
    • Pens vs. Devils
    • Bruins vs. Panthers
    • Flyers vs. Avs
    • Or just take a well earned break from watching hockey so you’re prepared for the marathon which is the playoff season.
  • I guess it will be interesting to see how many points Korbinian Holzer can put up tonight.
