LGD: Wicked Nice Hockey in Beantown

By Jon Steitzer

The good news is that there’s actually hockey tonight. The bad news is that’s against the leaky medical waste bag that is the Boston Bruins. Why visiting teams aren’t allowed to play in hazmat suits when they’re in Boston I’ll never know.
We can at least take comfort in the fact that the Bruins are barely holding onto their playoff spot, and although tanking is fun, perhaps for just one night being a spoiler could be more fun.
THE LEAFS
What can be said about a team that is 1-7-2 in their last ten? They’re probably well rested. They’re probably due for a win. They’re probably going to have a hard time against Rask when they’ve struggled to score since JVR went down with his injury.

The Bruins
The Bruins will put their best slewfoot forward tonight in a game they need to win in order remain competitive in the East.
Expect Brad Marchand to be underwhelming tonight because a week to gorge himself on dumpster feasts has probably left him slow and tired.

What to Watch For…
- Hopefully someone on the Leafs carrying on the proud tradition of punching Zac Rinaldo in the head
- The ol’ switcheroo on the defensive pairings as Dion is on his left side with Corrado and Gardiner gets to prop up Polak tonight.
- The sadness in Morgan Rielly’s eyes as he still has to play with Hunwick
- An update from the Oilers game saying that Connor McDavid has re-injured his clavicle.
