The Maple Leafs have announced their roster for the upcoming 2022 Traverse City Prospect Tournament.

Among the invites are Nick Robertson, Alex Steeves, and Pontus Holmberg — three players who could challenge for a Maple Leafs roster spot when training camp opens up.

11 of Toronto’s draft picks, which include Robertson, Holmberg, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Nick Abruzzese, Filip Král, Fraser Minten, Axel Rindell, Ty Voit, Mikko Kokkonen, William Villeneuve, and Brandon Lisowsky are on the roster as well.

What’s most interesting about this roster is the fact that Mikhail Abramov isn’t there. All of his Marlies counterparts are on the roster, but the 21-year-old centre is missing from the list.

Five players who are undrafted NHL signees will join Toronto in Traverse City and those players are Steeves, Pavel Gogolev, Curtis Douglas, Max Ellis, and Braeden Kressler.

There are also five players on AHL contracts who’ll be at the Prospect Tournament for Toronto and those are Keith Petruzzelli, Graham Slaggert, Tommy Miller, Luke Cavallin, and Marshall Rifai. Also joining the Maple Leafs on the trip are six players who’ve been signed to ATOs — Noah Van Vliet, Sean McGurn, Pano Fimis, Avery Hayes, Kasper Larsen, and Marco Constantini.

Maple Leafs Assistant General Manager, Ryan Hardy, will be overseeing the team in Traverse City. Coaching the team will be Maple Leafs assistant coach Manny Malhotra. Alongside him will be Danielle Goyette, Jordan Bean, Duanté Abercrombie, John Snowden, and Hannu Toivonen.

Here’s a full list of the Maple Leafs’ prospects attending the Prospect Tournament in Traverse City:

Toronto will play four games in Traverse City, beginning with a game against the Dallas Stars on Thursday, September 15th, at 6:30PM ET. After that, the Maple Leafs take on St. Louis on Friday, September 16th — also at 6:30PM ET.

They’ll then finish the Prospect Tournament with a back-to-back, first playing Columbus on Sunday, September 18th, at 2PM ET, and then they’ll face Detroit on Monday, September 19th, at 11AM ET.

Four games over the span of five days — it’ll be fascinating to see which players stand out and which do not.
