Toronto Maple Leafs prospect and freshman Harvard hockey player Nick Abruzzese has been named the ECAC hockey rookie of the week.
Abruzzese was given the honour after scoring two goals and two assists in Harvard’s lone game this week at Union.
The Slate Hill, NY native is leading the nation in rookie scoring notching 10 goals and 17 assists in 20 games this year. He had a great January, too, leading all NCAA freshmen in scoring with 12 points (four goals, eight assists).
The 5’9″, 160 lb. forward was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the 4th round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
