The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they signed Aaron Dell to a one-year, $800 thousand contract.

Dell, 31, played in 33 games with the San Jose Sharks in 2019-20, posting a 12-15-3 record with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. In 107 career NHL appearances with San Jose, the Airdrie, Alberta native owns a 48-34-12 record with a 2.76 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage and five shutouts.Dell originally signed with the Sharks as a free agent on March 4, 2015.
Dell can play a key role in this organization, serving as a mentor to a young Joseph Woll. He also serves as a reliable number three with NHL experience.
