It’s elimination day at the 4 Nations.
This should be something special.
That said, the hockey world is still buzzing from the Canada/USA game on Saturday night.
That was incredible. Talk about theatre.
Unsurprisingly, a good chunk of the Monday edition of Leafs Morning Take was spent discussing that game for the ages. It had everything —including three feverish scraps in the first 30 seconds of play. You love to see it. Rosey certainly did!
Brought to you by Firehouse Subs, we dove into the nuts and bolts from the weekend. On top of that, being a Leafs podcast, we did discuss how quiet the three Leafs players – for the most part – have been in the tournament thus far. At this point, it’s an unavoidable conversation because of their continued shortcomings in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That said, there’s plenty of tournament left, so we’ll see what happens.
After that, powered by Greta Bar, we had a chance to catch up with future MLB Hall of Famer Max Scherzer last week. The 40-year-old is a Toronto Blue Jay, and who doesn’t like a little crossover interview sometimes? Believe it or not, Max is a big sports fan —which includes hockey. We tied everything together in this interview. He was a lot of fun!
The Tuesday edition of Leafs Morning Take should be an interesting one. We’ll either be discussing the lowest point in Canadian hockey history, or we’ll be previewing a championship game between Canada and the United States. Join us at 11 AM ET!
