Doug Gilmour had one of his best nights with the Toronto Maple Leafs today in 1994. The club was squaring up against the San Jose Sharks in game four of the semi-finals, a game Toronto would win 8-3.

Fresh off a 111 point regular season, Gilmour went on to post a one goal, four-point night in the win. His lone goal of the game came at the 9:13 mark of the second period.

He had three primary assists on goals from Dmitri Mironov, who scored at the 10:15, Mike Gartner at the 18:38 mark of the second period, and Dave Andreychuk’s shorthanded goal at the 32 second mark of the third.

He also chipped in a secondary assist on a Wendel Clark goal in the second.

Toronto ended up winning the series in seven games, before meeting the Vancouver Canucks in the conference finals, but the Leafs were no match. Despite winning game one in overtime 2-3, Vancouver went on to win four straight to win the series.

Those Canucks advanced to the Stanley Cup finals, but lost to the New York Rangers.
