<p>It had been Florida, Florida, Florida for so long that it almost feels weird preparing for Leafs/Bruins.</p>

<p>How did we get here?</p>
<p>Simple: Boston lost 3-1 to Ottawa on Tuesday night and the Leafs fell 5-2 in Sunrise effectively handing the Panthers the Atlantic Division title and a date with the Lightning.</p>
<p>We kicked off the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/GqU6WhYQK78?si=WdyePF4YlpxmWjI_">Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take</a> by discussing the fact that the Leafs will have a chance to do the funniest thing ever in Round 1. And that’s to end long-time Bruins play by play man Jack Edwards’ broadcasting career. On Tuesday, the 67-year-old, who’s been calling Boston games for 19 years, announced in a press release that he would be retiring at season&#8217;s end. Oh baby.</p>
<p>Presented by DoorDash, in the Appetizer, we touched on the puzzling collapse in Sunrise. After leading 2-0 after 20 minutes, Toronto was outshot 29-4 in period two and outscored 4-0. Naturally, we talked about the concern level and where it&#8217;s at right now. After all, this game didn’t have much bearing in the standings —at least for the Maple Leafs. The top-six was terrible, Auston Matthews didn’t pot his 70<sup>th</sup>, and Joseph Woll had another inconsistent outing. Yeah, one of those nights.</p>

In four regular season meetings with their vaunted rivals, Sheldon Keefe and company went 0-2-2. That said, that doesn’t mean a whole lot when the puck drops for real on Saturday night. For the record, the Leafs haven’t beaten the B’s in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 1959. Furthermore, the previous three series have all gone seven games.</p>
