Ray Ferraro thinks the Leafs need to park the Bennett thing, just focus on the task at hand: Leafs Morning Take

The Sam Bennett drama is in the rearview and it’s time to look ahead to Game 2.
Joseph Woll will get the call as the Leafs look to grab a 2-0 series lead on the Florida Panthers.
That’s where the conversation started on the Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take as once again, we were live on location at GRETA BAR YYZ. As per Craig Berube, Anthony Stolarz is improving but it will be Matt Murray backing up Woll tonight. Simply put, the Leafs need their 1B goalie to be locked in. Understandably so, he looked relatively shaky in Game 1 making 17 stops in relief. After we gave our initial thoughts, Rosey revealed that the Leafs reached out to him and he’s getting an alumni jacket. How cool is that? Our Rosey is growing up before our eyes.
Brought to you by Charm Diamond Centres, ESPN NHL Analyst Ray Ferraro dropped by the show. As per usual, he was awesome with his analysis. Firstly, we got him to weigh in on the Bennett elbow, what he thought of the play, and if he expects any fallout from it in Game 2. Additionally, he assessed the play of the Core Four in Game 1 and what he thinks they need to do moving forward. Also, he dished on Joseph Woll and if he thinks he’s capable of jumping in there and doing the job with Stolarz on the shelf.
Then, courtesy RVezy, we jumped into a game preview. Of note, the Panthers will be getting Aaron Ekblad back in the lineup following his latest suspension. Bottom line: The Leafs need to play the same way they did to start the opener of the series. If they do that, they should be in good standing. On top of that, everyone needs to pull their weight. We both agreed that it would be nice to see the Matthews/Marner cook in this one after Nylander’s top-notch performance the other night. All in all, it will be interesting to see the adjustments made by both teams. Florida’s going to come in hot. Toronto will be test —for sure.
Lastly, to wrap, we got to the CRISPI HOT TAKE OF THE DAY, presented by the Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer. Producer Vick thinks Game 2 tonight is the biggest game in the last nine years for the Maple Leafs. For what it’s worth, we agreed.
For the final time this week (Rosey’s in town), once again, the Thursday edition of Leafs Morning Take will come at you from Greta Bar YYZ on King Street West. Please note the special start time of 9 AM ET for the show. We’ll recap Game 2. Additionally, Dallas Eakins and Brandon Montour will join us.
