There’s still no formal update on the extent of Jake Muzzin’s injury, but according to Capfriendly the Leafs defenseman has been added to the LTIR.
The move would give the Leafs a total of $12.4M in long term injury cap relief, but much of that has already been spent and both Liljegren and Benn are nearing their returns as Capfriendly is also reporting that they have been moved to conditioning stints.
We can only hope that the best decisions are being made for Muzzin’s health and given the chronic and consistent nature of his recent injuries there has to be concerns about this being the end of his playing days.
