As NHL teams embark on their training camps in their respective cities, one big question that keeps coming up is who teams will play in their exhibition games.
After teams report to their respective hub cities each squad will get one exhibition game and a report surfaced Tuesday that the Toronto Maple Leafs may be playing the Montreal Canadiens.
This information is far from official, but it would make sense. The Leafs and Canadiens have a storied history and are both a part of the 24-team play-in tournament.
Earlier Tuesday, Edmonton Oilers head coach Dave Tippett was asked about who they may be playing and said discussions were still happening between teams and the league.
Oilers head coach Dave Tippett says meetings are going on with teams and the league to determine the exhibition game schedule.
