Jeff Marek has joined The Nation Network — The Leafs Nation’s parent company — and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him aboard. Marek is one of the most trusted voices in hockey media and joins us with a wealth of broadcasting and journalistic expertise.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a deep hockey bench at The Nation Network and Daily Faceoff where everybody eats, sleeps and breathes hockey 24/7,” Marek said. “This group has emerged as growing leaders in the industry, providing full-service content for hockey fans. Daily Faceoff has a roster of established, credible veteran voices along with future impact players, and I can’t wait to get started with them.”

Marek will be launching a new show called The Sheet on Daily Faceoff (Apple Podcasts, Spotify) while providing web content, articles and analysis. He’ll be a regular guest on our flagship video show Leafs Morning Take, alongside our regular hosts Nick Alberga and Jay Rosehill, and will be appearing on various shows across The Nation Network. Marek joined Alberga and Rosehill during Thursday’s episode of Leafs Morning Take to discuss the announcement and his excitement for this new journey.

“For the longest time, I’ve kind of wanted to do something like this,” Marek said Thursday on Leafs Morning Take. “The conversations with The Nation Network were pretty simple. We all have these wish lists of these things that we want to do in our career and I said, I want to do this and this and this. This is a dream job profile for me. And they said OK! It was one of the easiest negotiations that I’ve ever had. And that’s one of the reasons why The Nation Network was so attractive to me. There are established veteran broadcast voices. There are future superstars, there are ex-players that are becoming star broadcasters.”
