@Toronto Maple Leafs captain, @John Tavares, issued a message through his Twitter account this past week, encouraging hockey fans to remain indoors as much as possible while also thanking the healthcare and frontline workers for their incredible sacrifice during this strange time.
Like many NHLers, John Tavares used his Twitter account to post a note to hockey fans, urging them to stay indoors as much as possible as a means of flattening the curve on COVID-19.
“Let’s all play inside and play for each other. With this challenge comes great opportunity to enjoy quality time with family and loves ones. Let’s take care of each other.”
To Leafs fans, Tavares finished his note with:
“To Leafs nation, my teammates and I can’t wait until we get the opportunity again to put on our skates, and wear the Maple Leaf on our chest. Until then, let’s do everything we can to help each other by staying safe and healthy.”
We can’t wait to see you back out there, John. Stay safe.
