Toronto Maple Leafs forward @Alexander Kerfoot wasted no time in building his team’s lead in the third period of Sunday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks.
Just 13 seconds into the final frame, Kerfoot received a backhand pass from @William Nylander and immediately fired the puck over the shoulder of Ducks goaltender @John Gibson.
@John Tavares picked up the secondary assist on Kerfoot’s fourth goal of the season, which extended Toronto’s lead to 3–0. Here’s the video of the play, as posted to Twitter by the official Maple Leafs account:
Kerfoot is off to a nice start in his third season with the Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old Vancouver product currently ranks seventh on the team with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 23 games.
@Auston Matthews and @Michael Bunting also have goals for Toronto, which currently leads Anaheim 3–1 late in the third period. @Hampus Lindholm has the only goal for the Ducks.
