<p>At this point, it’s no secret that if Montour gets to July 1, the Leafs will be hot on his trail. Unfortunately for Toronto, so will half the league. On paper, the 30-year-old checks a lot of boxes for the Maple Leafs. He shoots right, he can skate, he plays with bite, and most importantly, he can run a power play. Ultimately, there could be a bidding war for his services, which would likely price him out of the market. Montour, who’s been linked to Toronto for years, is from the Brantford area.</p>
<h2><strong>Adam Henrique – Edmonton Oilers – Forward</strong></h2>
<p>Weirdly enough, Henrique and Montour, who played together in Anaheim, are not only good friends but they’re also from the same area in Ontario. As he’s demonstrated in his short time with Edmonton, Henrique’s versatility will make him an attractive option for many teams in unrestricted free agency. He can play the wing, he can play centre, he can play in the top six, he can play in a checking role. On top of that, although his postseason appearances are limited, he’s scored some monster goals in his career when it matters the most. Henrique’s father-in-law is the legendary Steve Thomas, a former Leaf from the Pat Quinn era.</p>
<h2><strong>Ryan Lomberg – Florida Panthers – Forward</strong></h2>
<p>Undeniably, the Richmond Hill native’s Pitbull like energy is something the Leafs could seek out this summer to bolster their bottom-six. Due to Florida’s uncanny depth, Lomberg’s been limited to just five games in this run for the Panthers. He’s an energy guy who loves to throw his weight around, even though he’s on the smaller end of the spectrum. The 29-year-old loves to get dirty, antagonize, and on top of that, he’s said to be extremely popular in the Florida room. He could fit super well under Craig Berube.</p>
