Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
For episode four, the boys opened up the episode discussing the @Auston Matthews incident, whether or not the criticism is fair, why he didn’t tell Kyle Dubas right after it happened, and if it will effect him getting the @Toronto Maple Leafs captaincy.
It leads them right into the Popeyes Poll Question: Who should be the next Toronto Maple Leafs captain, @Auston Matthews, @John Tavares, @Morgan Rielly?
They discuss @Matthew Tkachuk’s new bridge deal and what it mean for the @Calgary Flames.
Kris Abbott from Odds Shark calls in to get into some Stanley Cup and playoff odds for some of the Pacific Division teams.
They then get into some top ten lists. Dusty lists his “Top 10 Players You’d Pay to Watch,” Gager does “Top 10 Cable Guy Requirements for Customers, while Kass mails it in with a Top 5. But, it’s a topic so unique that you’ll have to see it for yourself…
Then the boys to the first edition of a new segment, “Keep it or Clip it?” presented by Sports Clips. Dusty poses a question about each Canadian team and Gager and Kass either agree (Keep it) or disagree (Clip it):
- @Elias Petterson finishes as a Top 10 scorer
- @Patrik Laine will no longer be on the @Winnipeg Jets this time next week
- You’d have @Mitch Marner over @Auston Matthews
- Goaltending be the reason the @Edmonton Oilers miss the playoffs
