It’s time for Auston Matthews to take centre stage: Leafs Morning Take

It’s time for the Leafs to replicate what they did on Wednesday night.
Down 3-1 in the series, the Leafs will host the Panthers with hopes of staving off elimination one more time and forcing a Game 6 in Sunrise on Sunday night.
We kicked off the Friday edition of Leafs Morning Take by discussing Frederik Andersen and the Carolina Hurricanes. Rod Brind’Amour’s bunch finished off the upstart New Jersey Devils in five games on Thursday night. Honestly, wouldn’t that be an incredible storyline if the Leafs could find a way to come back here? Fire me up.
After that nonsense, we dove headfirst into our Game 5 preview:

Meantime, unsurprisingly, following his 24 save performance in his first career playoff start, Joseph Woll will get the call once again. With Ilya Samsonov on the shelf and Matt Murray not really an option, Woll has a chance to gain legendary status in Toronto. No pressure, though. This segment was by our friends over at Skip.

Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up, we offered up not one but two plays for your consideration tonight.
Whatever happens this weekend, the TLN team will be on top of things for you. Keep it locked!
