Jeremy Bracco extends point streak to 17 with Hat Trick

Just a couple of days ago, we talked about how Adam Brooks has scored a point in every WHL game he’s played this season, and how he’s chasing historical totals, and we had a good group laugh about how the Leafs are still churning out forward prospects even as the top kids do their thing with the big club.
As it so happens, Brooks isn’t the only one dunking on a junior league. Over in the WHL, Jeremy Bracco is running on cruise control, jumping into third in OHL scoring with a hat trick that extended his point streak to all 17 games he’s played this year.

Previously, Bracco was named OHL player of the week when he notched 13 points in four games. Bracco, who was drafted by the Leafs 61st overall in the 2015 Entry Draft, joined the Kitchener Rangers midway through last year after just five games of college hockey and scored 78 points in 58 regular season and playoff games. This year, he’s making that pace look like child’s play, an extremely encouraging sign for his development.
At the moment, Bracco trails Erie Otters forwards Taylor Raddysh (Tampa Bay, 45 points) and Alex Debrincat (Chicago, 40 points), while tied with his teammate Adam Mascherin (Florida), who has played two additional games this year.
Bracco was placed in the 11th seed of TLN’s Summer 2016 Prospect Rankings, with votes ranging from 6th to 20th. Kitchener’s next game is tonight against the Oshawa Generals.
