Joffrey Lupul calls out TSN: ‘Poor man’s TMZ’

The NHL trade deadline is a stressful time for NHL players, particularly players like Toronto Maple Leafs winger Joffrey Lupul. Lupul has heard his name bandied about in trade rumours for months, and chatter is only expected to increase this afternoon. 

On Monday afternoon Lupul took to Twitter to criticize TSN’s coverage of the deadline.

It’s not clear whether or not Lupul was upset about his name popping up in rumours, or perhaps that the network put a defamatory tweet about Lupul’s personal life up on the social ticker at the bottom of the screen that has gone viral. We’d suspect that – based on the TMZ shot – it’s the latter issue that has Lupul upset. Understandably so.
