It’s 12:15 AM and none of us really liked that game, so we’re going to make this the briefest postgame in TLN history and cut straight to the chase. First, here are the highlights:

Failed to load video.

The Leafs weren’t good tonight. They kept the fancy stats close, but they were outmuscled, outskated, and on almost all of their goals, outplayed. Par for the course when you’re facing a Presidents Trophy caliber team, but you still hoped for a more livid effort given what was at stake.
Also, Brian Boyle might be hurt:
The good news is that the Bruins ran the tables on the Lightning tonight. That sounds bad for the sake of first round matchup implications, but on the positive side, that means that Thursday is both a fun potential clinching scenario, and not a complete and total catastrophe if it doesn’t go well (but still somewhat panic inducing).
That game will be at 7:30 PM. Be ready for it. But forget this one ever happened, unless you’re doing video in the event that this becomes a Round 1 or 2 series.
