Leafs Postgame: Careyed Again

The Leafs sought revenge for their 2-1 road loss to the Montreal Canadiens on October 29th, and… repeated the very same result tonight. As actually good as they might be, Carey Price is playing pretty actually generational right now and that definitely got in the way of their hopes of keeping the wave of goals flowing.

Nikita Soshnikov was dominant on the puck when he got the chance to play tonight, having one of his best all-around performances of the season. A funny statement, given his lone shot and team-fewest 8:40 in ice time, but there wasn’t much to really work with here all around. The fourth line actually tilted the ice pretty well tonight, on that note; if they can keep stringing together games where they can get the puck out of the d-zone and secure it up front, it’s not the worst thing in the world.

We’ll talk more about this game to an extent tomorrow, but in the meantime, Toronto’s next game comes against the Hurricanes on Tuesday. See you then!
