Leafs Put Out Of Misery In Loss To Sens

This game is meaningless. Like, beyond meaningless. The Leafs have no shot at the playoffs, no shot at taking at a serious level, it’s just a game for the sake of going out with their heads up high. Or at least, not ending with four straight losses for the first time in 29 years. We didn’t even get to see that – the Leafs quiet departed the season with a 1-0 loss.

The Rundown

Only goal of the game. I know Spezza is known as a passer, but they left him open after making a play just seconds before. Probably not the smartest of ideas, especially when its a right handed shooter on the left wing with some star status behind him.

Why The Leafs Lost

Well, they didn’t score a goal. Much like the last pile of games; they haven’t scored more than three goals in regulation since Feburary 27th. That’s pathetic, and only Buffalo matched that. They also gave up 60% of the attempted shots today. Against a Senators team that isn’t exactly amazing in terms of possession themselves, that’s pretty awful.

Blue Warrior

You. Your misery is over. Until the draft, at least. Go relax for a bit.
Also, Petter Granberg for making his Leafs debut, and James Reimer for having another solid performance as a Leaf; possibly his last ever.
