Bell Let’s Talk day is a pretty big day for mental health, especially on social media, as everybody from average joes to athletes to celebrities contribute to end the stigma of mental health.
That’s no different for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who out of the kindness of their hearts (and probably the orders of their corporate overlords at Bell), also contribute to the cause, and make sure they spread that hashtag to all corners of the Internet.
So, let’s quickly highlight some (or all) of the Leafs social media activity today for #BellLetsTalk.
First, I feel like it’s pretty significant that our head coach was IN THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR #BELLLETSTALK. Good job Michael!
Then some of the Leafs had some of their own words, players, prospects, general managers, and grandmas alike.
Finally, the Leafs tweeted from their own account with the players and management using the traditional signs.
As important of a day as this is, remember that this isn’t the only day you can raise awareness. People are fighting battles year round, so keep fighting for change all year round as well. If you’re struggling, always try to reach out for help, and even if you aren’t, always accept those who are with open arms.
