Leafs trade down their 25th overall pick for 29th and 76th

The Leafs have traded their 25th overall selection to the St. Louis Blues for the 29th and 76th picks in this year’s draft.

This is similar to what the Leafs did in the 2014 draft when they had the 24th selection and traded down twice to land Travis Dermott, Jeremy Bracco, and Martins Dzierkals instead of Travis Konecny.

You can see that the Leafs clearly added a bit of value here, but the difference is somewhat slight. Many thought the Leafs could grab the falling center from Drummondville, Joseph Veleno.

Instead, with the 25th pick, the Blues selected Dominik Bokk , a good young player from Sweden. Now let’s wait and see who it is the Leafs end up with. Many are figuring it will be Soo Greyhound Rasmus Sandin. We shall see what happens!
