LGD: But Nothing

The Toronto Maple Leafs are heading to the Bell Centre to take on the Montreal Canadiens. I know this because I made a joke about Auston Matthews being about to score on Carey Price from the same spot that Lebron hit a jumper on Twitter yesterday, and got an onslaught of tweets confirming that, in fact, cannot read a schedule.
Doesn’t matter where the game is, though, the two teams are playing it. Let’s dive in real quick.

Nothing much has changed from last game. The forwards are the same and the defence are the same group but shuffled around with Mike Babcock’s iPod. Free Frank Corrado.

I said it a few weeks ago and I’ll double down: the narrative is set. No matter what happens for the rest of the year, even if he’s awful and doesn’t get a single extra point, Shea Weber is probably winning the Norris just for the storyline.

Starting Goaltenders

It’s Carey Price and Frederik Andersen. Andersen is the dude that’s the centre of a billion arguments about his performance, and Carey Price in the discussion for best goaltender on earth and arguably the most important single player to his team in the game.

What To Look Out For

The end of Montreal’s no-regulation loss streak. William Nylander and Mitch Marner breaking the sound barrier every time they pass by Alexei Emelin. Nikita Zaitsev scoring his NHL goal, turning to his buddy and opponent Alex Radulov, and doing his sword sheath celebration.
Puck drop is at 7 on Hockey Night In Canada.
