LGD: The Return of Frankie
HE’S ALIIIIIIIIVEEEEEEE! Frank Corrado is finally going to play in an NHL game this year, suiting up for the Leafs tonight as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins. As you can imagine, I’m stoked, as a figurehead in the Believe in Frankie movement. Of course, it’s in a game where the Leafs are basically set up to lose, but I guess you take what you can get. Puck drop is fast approaching, so let’s get through this quickly.

Zach Hyman | Auston Matthews | William Nylander |
James van Riemsdyk | Tyler Bozak | Mitchell Marner |
Leo Komarov | Nazem Kadri | Connor Brown |
Matt Martin | Ben Smith | Peter Holland |

Morgan Rielly | Roman Polak |
Martin Marincin | Nikita Zaitsev |
Jake Gardiner | Connor Carrick |
The above lines are probably not the actual lines, seeing as Paul Hendrick mentioned that Corrado and Hunwick are likely to draw in. But hey, now we can speculate on who is out!
..oh god, Corrado is going to play his competitive hockey game in a month, against better opponents, and it’s probably with Matt Hunwick.
The Penguins

Brian Dumoulin | Kris Letang |
Olli Maatta | Trevor Daley |
Ian Cole | Justin Schultz |
Phil Kessel is a Stanley Cup champion and the fours on those jerseys are disgusting. Great uniforms overall, though. I’m shocked to see them go back to the HBK line yet again, but I guess old habits die hard.
Starting Goaltenders
Frederik Andersen is starting again for the Leafs tonight, which is interesting. He allowed three in Philadelphia yesterday, and typically, starting a goalie in both games of a back to back isn’t a great decision. Maybe the confidence isn’t there in Jhonas Enroth right now, or they just want to show Andersen how confident they are in him. Who knows.
On the other hand, matt Murray is in goal for the Penguins. He allowed three in 28 on Tuesday, but is a 0.957 in his first three games this year. The youngster seems poised to show that the end of season
What To Look Out For
It’s the second night of a back-to-back, the Leafs have travelled, they’re the away team, they’re starting their starting goaltender again, two of their defencemen have either been injured or exiled for a month, Ben Smith still exists, and they’re facing the defending Stanley Cup Champions, who are dressing 3-4 superstars and an elite young goalie.
LA was the game where we were shocked to see them lose 7-0. This is the one where you count your blessings if it doesn’t happen again. A convincing win would be enough to burst the bandwagon through a brick wall. Puck drop is… in a few minutes. 7PM on HNiC.
