The stretch drive to the Stanley Cup Playoffs is upon us.
With the trade deadline now firmly in the rear-view mirror, we kicked off the Monday edition of Leafs Morning Take by discussing the journey ahead for the Maple Leafs. It’s been a fun season to document, but without question, now’s when the work truly begins. This is going to be an interesting ride, that’s for sure.
Thankfully, the Leafs won’t be playing any playoff games at Rogers Arena anytime soon. I know what the deal is, but they absolutely stink there. Following Saturday night’s 4-1 loss, overall, they’ve now dropped six in a row and 16 of the past 18 outings in Vancouver. Someone make sense of that madness for me, please.
Anyway, the bigger story coming out of the weekend was undoubtedly the Ryan O’Reilly injury. At this point, it is what it is. Let’s just hope he’s good to good for Game 1 against Tampa. Thanks to our friends over PointsBet Canada for powering this segment.

Be sure to join us on Tuesday at 11 AM ET as we preview Leafs/Devils. Additionally, we’ll address the numerous injury concerns across the roster stemming from Monday’s practice.
