What’s One Thing Your Looking Forward to This Season (Tavares Excluded)?

The Leafs had a very good offseason, so obviously there’s a lot to look forward to this season.
Take John Tavares out of the question, and it’s a much different conversation.

Seeing what AJ and KK having a full season in the N. they’ve earned it and I want to see what they can do with the opportunity…. also to watch Gardiner get 50+ points again.
Can I change my answer. I am interested to see all their beards in motion.

Jon Steitzer

I’m looking forward to the season ending so we can start the annual Boston series.

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the defence this season. Aside from losing Polak, it’s almost identical to last season, so I’m interested to see how it will be deployed and how that’ll make an impact on the Leafs this season.

Ryan Hobart

The most intriguing story line for me will be what Kasperi Kapanen, Josh Leivo, and/or Andreas Johnsson can do in the top 9 forward group this season. If any of them get a chance to play with any of the incredible 3 centers the Leafs have, they should have some kind of break-out season. With all three having expiring contracts going into this year, it’ll be interesting to see which, if any, capitalize on the opportunity to earn a big pay day. The other two, assumedly, will be tasked with helping Par Lindholm transition to the NHL. At least until the Leafs trade a 2nd round pick for someone’s overpaid 3rd line center to be their 4th line center for the 3rd year in a row.

In contrast to Ryan’s very well-thought out response… I am fucking HYPED to see William Nylander’s hair in its full glory in the NHL.
