WWYDW – The Call Ups

Now that the Leafs have nothing left to play for, is it time to use some of those post-trade deadline call ups?
There’s 11 games left in the season, and since the Leafs have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, the organization might as well start taking a look at some of the minor league players in the system who could potentially be with the big club in 2015-16.

The Situation

Since the trade deadline, the Leafs have recalled three defencemen in Petter Granberg, T.J. Brennan and Andrew MacWilliam. Of the three, MacWilliam was the only emergency call-up, meaning that the Leafs should have two of their four post-deadline call ups remaining.
Is there someone you’d like to see this season?
Now now, don’t be hasty. Remember that the Toronto Marlies are currently four points back of a playoff position with 15 games left on the year. Would you call up a their leading scorer in Connor Brown (17 goals, 51 points in 61 games) just to get a look? Or would you call up William Nylander, who’s currently killing it as an 18-year old in the American Hockey League? Keep in mind that removing one or more of the Marlies’ best players could doom their playoff chances.
So, what would you do?
