Is everything a news story in Toronto?
You’re darn right it is.
Auston Matthews, the crown jewel of the franchise, put on skates, a helmet, gloves, and assorted other pieces of equipment today as he rehabbed his injured shoulder. After skating at the Leafs’ practice facility over the weekend, it appears he’s now shooting the puck, via a video released by TSN’s Kristen Shilton.
Auston suffered the injury on October 27, in a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
Auston Matthews (shoulder) is expected to be out a minimum of four weeks and will be placed on injured reserve today. #LeafsForever
Expect him back hopefully the first week of December, which is also potentially the return of one Swedish son, in case you haven’t heard.
