The Toronto Maple Leafs are preparing for another busy weekend.

They’re home to Washington tonight before visiting Kyle Dubas’ Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night.

Carter Hutton filled in for Jay Rosehill on the Friday edition of Leafs Morning Take. We kicked off the show by discussing the Jacob Trouba drama on Broadway. What a tumultuous conclusion for the captain. When stuff like this happens, it’s always important to humanize the situation —regardless of how much the player makes.

After that, we shared our thoughts on the back-to-back. Washington’s been really good since the beginning of the season, Pittsburgh’s been hot lately. Bottom line: The Leafs will need to be on their game for both contests. Anthony Stolarz will start tonight, Joseph Woll will go in Pittsburgh.

Lastly, we got to our Great Clips inbox question of the day. We were asked about Dennis Hildeby and if we think the Leafs should include him in a potential trade down the road.
