Just like that, it’s another game day for the Maple Leafs.
And similar to Round 1, they find themselves in a familiar position after dropping the opening game of the series, 4-2, on Tuesday night.
We kicked off the Thursday edition of Leafs Morning Take by discussing Leon Draisaitl’s dominance and the eery similarities between the Leafs and Oilers. After that, we got into some keys to victory. Game is not a must-win, but it would be nice to even up the series and push it effectively to a best-of-5.
Additionally, we addressed the decision to swap Zach Aston-Reese for Sam Lafferty.
Meantime, powered by our friends over at Skip, you just knew we had to talk about this father-daughter duo that’s gone viral for trolling the Leafs. As expected, Jay Rosehill did not hold back in his assessment.
Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up, we’re expecting a ton of offence tonight.
Presented by @Betano_Canada.. #TheGameStartsNow 19+. Please play responsibly. @Jay_D_Rosehill & @thegoldenmuzzy are forecasting plenty of offence in the opening period tonight between Toronto & Florida. 🏒💰🏒
Join us on Friday at 11 AM ET as we recap Game 2 plus look ahead to Game 3 on Sunday in Florida.
