LGD – Bad vs. Worse

Feb 7, 2015, 16:10 ESTUpdated:
Today should have been a great day. With the Edmonton Oilers in town, it would have been the perfect opportunity to make fun of such a terrible, miserable, no good organization that hasn’t won crap for years and can’t seem to pull themselves out of the NHL’s basement despite first overall pick after first overall pick after first overall pick.
But no. The Toronto Maple Leafs had to go and lose their franchise record eleventh game in a row last night. They’re just as terrible, miserable, and no good an organization than the Oilers. We’ve reached the lowest of lows here, people.
The Leafs
We don’t really have a clue what’s going on here. Dion Phaneuf has been placed on the IR, Cody Franson is a gametime decision, Jonathan Bernier is sick. Petter Granberg and Antoine Bibeau have been recalled from the AHL. Practically nobody was at this morning’s optional skate. This whole situation is a mess right now.

The Oilers
Taylor Hall and Benoit Pouliot will both miss tonight’s games with injuries. So, hey, wow… If you thought that Leafs lineup looked bad…

Starting Goaltenders
Even if Bernier is sick, I can’t imagine they throw Bibeau to the wolves, or uh, Oilers.
