LGD: Can the Pens just go away already?

It’s game day!
The Buds are on the road again tonight for their first game of a back-to-back, and their first time seeing the Penguins since April. The last time these teams faced off, the Leafs defeated the Stanley Cup Champions to punch their ticket to the playoffs. This will be the Pens’ fourth of a five-game homestand–so far they’re two for three.
Leafs Lines
Looks like Frederik Andersen will be our starter.
Penguins Lines

Tristan Jarry is expected to start.
Notes
- The Leafs had an easy week… Since returning to town after a Saturday loss to Vancouver, the Buds only played one game against Calgary on Wednesday, which they won 2-1 in the shootout. To be clear, that’s two games in the last seven days. Nice break, but the Leafs looked maybe a little too well-rested against the Flames.
- It’s definitely nice for Freddy to have some time to rest up since he’s the only goaltender in the organization apparently (and he’s so hot right now).
- No Leafs are on the injured list right now, and hopefully no surprise food poisoning either. Morgan Rielly had a maintenance day on Friday, but he joined morning skate and is expected to play.
- Connor Carrick is sitting in favour of Roman Polak. Again. I think we’ve all expressed our outrage over this…and yep, it’s still ridiculous. Looks like Nikita Soshnikov and Josh Leivo will be his pressbox buddies.
- Although he’s still out, Matt Murray participated in an optional morning skate. Current starter Tristan Jarry has won four of his last 5 starts for the Pens.
- Tom Kuhnhackl won’t be playing for the Penguins after he suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday’s game.
- Frank Corrado and Greg McKegg were sent down to the AHL this morning, with Kevin Czuczman and Dominik Simon getting the call-up.
- Phil Kessel continues to lead the Penguins in scoring, and he’s on the NHL’s top ten lists for points (35), goals (14), and assists (21).
The Leafs might be on the road, but it’s still the East Coast, so puck drop is 7pm in Pittsburgh.
