<p>What an eventful night in Kanata.</p>
<p>Typical: Leafs finally win a game in regulation, and unfortunately, that’s not what everyone’s talking about.</p>
<p>Of course, the big story is Joseph Woll. The rookie netminder was forced to leave the game midway through the third period with an apparently leg injury. At the time of this post, there are no further details on the severity of the injury. Just brutal. Woll was fantastic. Hell, despite not playing the final 10 minutes of the game, he still was awarded first start honours. And rightfully so.</p>

<p>At any rate, that’s obviously where Jay Rosehill and I kicked off the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5I-4P4eS7A">Friday edition of Leafs Morning Tak</a>e. Undoubtedly, it’s a tough pill for the Leafs to swallow. That said, this is exactly why they went out there and got a veteran like Martin Jones —for moments like this. Ilya Samsonov needs to step up, too.</p>
<p>Presented by Door Dash, The Appetizer focused the 4-3 victory. Toronto’s now 10 points up on the Ottawa Senators, so that’s good. Additionally, it was great to see the bottom-six chip in with a few goals. It wasn’t a Picasso by any stretch, but they found a way to get the win. It will be interesting to see how they fair without Woll, though.</p>

Oh yes, Ryan O’Reilly and Luke Schenn will make their highly anticipated returns to Scotiabank Arena. On top of that, Toronto will look to avenge an OT loss to Nashville in late October.</p>
<p>Speaking of which, courtesy our friends over at <a href="https://batlgrounds.com/">BATL Axe,</a> we had a chance to spend some time with Luke Schenn. We discussed everything from his decision to sign in Nashville to his second tour of duty dawning the blue and white. It was a lengthy interview.</p>
