<p>Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is been ruled out of Wednesday&#8217;s game against the Nashville Predators, head coach Craig Berube confirmed via <a href="https://x.com/dalter/status/1864007066404159528">David Alter of The Hockey News</a>.</p>
<p>Domi has missed Toronto&#8217;s past five games due to a lower-body injury but is eligible to return from injured reserve whenever he&#8217;s deemed ready. Berube indicated Tuesday that Domi was close to returning, and it&#8217;s possible he re-enters the lineup for Friday&#8217;s game against the Washington Capitals. Domi has recorded six assists in 19 games this season.</p>
<p>Pacioretty returned to practice Tuesday but was formally ruled out by Berube. The 36-year-old is currently on long-term injured reserve and as a result of the designation, is only eligible to return on December 7, when the Maple Leafs face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pacioretty suffered the injury during a November 9 game against the Montreal Canadiens, where he grabbed the back of his leg after getting hit by Mike Matheson.</p>
<p>Domi and Pacioretty were wearing the grey jerseys in practice, alongside Alex Nylander, who projects to be a healthy scratch Wednesday. Ryan Reaves will return from his five-game suspension and it appears he&#8217;ll be placed alongside Connor Dewar and Nikita Grebenkin on a new-look fourth line. Reaves didn&#8217;t want to expand on the length of his suspension, but responded with an honest answer.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don’t want to get into that. I already told the kids that Christmas is cancelled. I don’t want to get fined again. It’s over. We’re just going to leave it at that,&#8221; Reaves said.</p>
